With a history rooted in brewing and distillation dating back to colonial times, the Holy City has emerged as a hub for inventive brewers and distillers producing everything from hoppy IPAs to smooth bourbons and creative gins. This immersive tour will introduce you to the heart and craft behind Charleston’s finest brews and spirits.

A Taste of History

Did you know that Charleston was one of the South’s earliest centers for beer and spirits production? During the colonial era, local residents brewed beer and distilled spirits to avoid heavy import taxes from Britain. Fast forward to today, and Charleston’s passion for craft beverages has come full circle. Breweries and distilleries here continue the tradition of innovation, using locally sourced ingredients to create bold, award-winning flavors.
